WHAT R.A.M. IS?
Raikuu Art Museum is a community cultural space operating at Pistala's old village school in Raikuu village in Kerimäki.
The school has e.g. a small gallery opened in the former student hall and a village space free from the large classroom for organizing events and meetings. The teacher's old attic apartment on the top floor of the school is used for accommodation and residency work.
The school's old playground has been renovated into an art garden for the whole family, and the large garden with saunas and swimming beaches also enables small-scale camping and outdoor events.
The founding of the Raikuu Art Museum (RAM) has been supported by the Art Promotion Center, the Alfred Kordelin Foundation and the Raikuu-Pistala Village Association.
